The GSTEP consortium generously donated an assortment of STEM materials to the schools, including screw sets, hand drills, soldering kits, multimeters, robotics kits, Arduino UNO kits, Raspberry Pi 4 desktop kits, and sensor kits. These resources aim to address specific school needs, cultivate students’ interest in STEM fields, and equip them with essential skills and knowledge for their future careers.
During the school visits, the GSTEP team commended the students’ efforts and encouraged them to prepare for the next season of the challenge prize. The team also toured the schools’ STEM laboratories to view other projects the students were engaged in.
Officials from the Ghana Education Service (GES) and school authorities pledged to inspire and motivate students to engage in STEM-related activities. Headmasters and teachers in the Science and Maths departments emphasized the significance of students participating in this opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM).
The Ghana Science and Tech Explorer Prize (GSTEP) is dedicated to promoting STEM education and providing resources to support learning in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The DreamOval Foundation, in collaboration with other members of the GSTEP consortia, firmly believe that access to quality STEM resources has the potential to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators and problem solvers across Ghana and beyond.
